Location: Norwalk, CT

Duration: 2-3 mths contract

Job Description:

The security architect will be responsible for planning and developing a foundational set of security patterns for Information Management and Security. 

Deliverables: 

• A new library of security patterns that will have the broadest application in GDBS and will be applied in the design and build of new IS services and applications. Security patterns may include: API gateways, Identity management, Authentication, Access Control, Web Services, Cloud Computing. 
• Fit for purpose security technical standards that support the security patterns where applicable and have clearly defined responsibilities across IS for review and approval. 
• Security patterns will be embedded in Enterprise Architecture to facilitate security design phase and in Global Operations & Engineering to facilitate the security build phase

Outcomes: 

• New systems will have standard "security by design" thereby reducing the attack surface, vulnerabilities, and the likelihood of a successful malicious exploit 
• Security patterns will ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and guidelines 
• Security patterns will be reusable and will provide standard consistent solutions across a broad set of system use cases 
• IS architects and engineers will design, build, and configure new systems in less time and at a lower cost using well defined security measures and well known technical security standards 
• Application of security patterns will prevent the introduction of security risks into new on premise and SaaS applications

Qualifications Experience Required:   

• CISSP plus ISSAP or SABSA certification 
• 10 years in a senior information security role design security architectures 
• Experience developing security patterns
