Position : Control-M Operator
Location : Addison, TX
Duration : 12 Months
Position requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with Control-M as an administrator and programmer
- Very good knowledge installing, configuring and troubleshooting Control-M application with remote clustered databases in multiple environments
- Very good understanding of Control-M application topology
- Installing and troubleshooting control-M clients in a Windows server environment
- Ability to troubleshooting control-M server communication, knowledge to networking tools, protocols and firewalls
- Scripting experience with Java, Perl, Unix Shell and Windows scripting host
- Good understanding of methods for automated ticket creation to Service Now on job failures
What will the contractor work on?
- Contractor will work with global Control-M user community to troubleshoot job failures
- Assist Control-M operators and Schedulers with issues related to Control-M infrastructure
- Assist user community with planning and guidance on new types of jobs
- Participate in 7x24 on call rotation and support duties
- Ensure Control-M servers are functioning properly
- Review New Day logs for all Control-M environments on a daily basis.
- Respond to any automated alerts related to Control-M
- Assist with the documentation of Control-M policy, standard operating procedure and work instructions
- Assist with and update Control-M infrastructure diagrams.
- Install new patches to development environment prior to creating Change control for upgrades
- Document any patch or upgrade installation instructions
