Role: System Analyst
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 6 Months
Client: ASCAP(Direct)
Only GC/Citizens
We are seeking an individual with 5-6 years of experience in the software development life cycle to act as System Analyst on the international development team. This individual will be working closely with business users to understand, gather, and document requirements, and subsequently translate requirements to the development team. The candidate must be highly adept at analyzing data and have the ability to present findings to business personnel in a clear, concise manner. The System Analyst will also conduct testing and act as a liaison to users during user acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with business users to understand and document business requirements.
· Support the business users in conducting basic data analysis
· Collaborate with project team members to ensure that business requirements and needs are met.
· Conduct and support quality assurance testing activities
· Strong ability to communicate, influence and negotiate with others to meet and exceed expectations for timely delivery of designated projects.
· Proven ability to develop, monitor, impact and present ideas, recommendations and decisions, relevant to assigned project.
Soft Skills:
· Self-motivated, enthusiastic, dedicated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work as self-starter with high personal initiative.
· Be able to work in a flexible team environment
Technical Skills:
· Basic SQL skills desirable, particularly in MS SQL Server and Oracle
· Passionate to learn new technologies
· Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access)
· Experience using version control software (TFS preferred).
Education Requirements
BS in Computer Science or related engineering field or equivalent experience.
