Role: Project Manager - BSA

Client: Guthy Renker

Location: Santa Monica, CA & Foothill Ranch, CA

Contract: 12 mos

Interview Process: Phone Screen/In-Person (Mandatory)

Manager notes:

  • Ideal BA should have functional knowledge of broad sense of Supply Chain processes (such as forecast, sourcing, manufacturing, inventory transfer, goods receipt, customer fulfillment, returns), as they need to document requirements to support those.
  • They will also be heavily involved in the solution design and testing, primarily related to backend system integration
  • Prior ERP implementation experience is certainly helpful, but we need to differentiate candidates whose mindset is fitting the organization into an highly structured application, vs. coming up with a solution to meet business needs.
  • Just to be very clear, we do not need the BA to do programming.  
  • It is essential for a BA to have the ability to summarize and articulate their experience / qualifications to demonstrate that they are a good fit.

Business Analyst

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Be a key liaison with business stakeholders and technical teams on a critical project to establish a new distribution center with a 3PL

·         Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and gather/analyze/document new or changes to business requirements, and translate them into technical requirements.

·         Facilitate discussion among multiple stakeholders regarding business processes and systems, and reach agreement on business requirements among stakeholders

·         Work with IT team to recommend solutions that meet business objectives

·         Collaborate with vendor and manage vendor deliverables as needed

·         Facilitate / develop test plan and test cases

 

Requirements:  

·         Functional knowledge in Supply Chain, Warehouse Management and Distribution areas

·         7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on large, cross-functional projects dealing with multiple, complex process areas and business groups

·         Experience in process flow diagrams, use cases, current/future state diagrams, functional and technical requirements

·         Knowledge with ERP systems and WMS

·         Experience in multi-system integration

·         Experience in collaborating with multiple vendors

·         Good understanding of database schemas and file structure

·         Ability to perform data analysis

·         Must be able to drive requirements and solution discussions independently

·         Must be a self-starter and be able to drive resolution with minimal supervision
