Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6+ months
Interview : In-person (LOCAL candidate preferred)

Description:

• The Web Developer will be working on internal applications that gather, analyze and report data used to drive product pricing decisions
• Work closely with a team of data scientists
• Approximately 75% new development, 25% maintenance

 

Requirements:

• Candidates should have experience in both web design AND development
• Experience with developing User Interfaces and/or web applications (visualization)
• A website or portfolio to showcase design
• Suited to an AGILE/SCRUM development cycle
• Full stack rockstars welcome
• Must be able to work on team (team consists of highly creative and driven individuals with mixed backgrounds in economics, statistics and computer science)

• Excellent writing skills with a knack for explaining abstract concepts clearly and succinctly in a variety of channels (e-mail, IRC, Skype, etc.) 

Experience with some or all of the following technologies highly desired:

• JavaScript
• HTML
• CSS
• jQuery
• Angular.js
• Node.js
• Git

 

Some familiarity with and/or willingness to learn:

• SQL
• MongoDB

 

Desired experience:

• Familiarity with JavaScript design patterns, in particular, module pattern
