Job description:
· Minimum of 8 years combined experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions and software support.
· Candidates must have minimum of 4 years experiences in all of the following: designing, developing, enhancing and supporting software components using Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server is required.
· Experience with Visual Basic.Net is required, ASP Web Development experience utilizing Visual Studio is required, experience in working through all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Business Process Analysis/Design/ Planning / Implementation is required. Ability to interact with High Level Senior Management and delegate work to other team members is mandatory. Experience with design tools such as Rational Rose/MS Visio is desirable.
· MCSD Certification is desirable. Experience with GIS and C# is desirable.
· The applicant must have experience in web development for large applications.
· The applications must be similar in size and scope to the types of web development designed by a large government entity such as the New York City Department of Education.
· The developer will be tasked with primarily developing new .net applications for Office of Pupil Transportation (Office of School Support Services).
· They may be also required to develop/support other OSSS applications when needed.
