Role: GIS Project Manager with Oil/Gas Industry
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
Strong Project Manager with experience of upstream global deployments. Knowledge of ArcGIS and related technologies is secondary (would like, but not essential). BP experience is highly desired, to the point of mandatory. They would like a PM who is highly experienced with CVP, GOI, Digital Security, PTAD etc. Standard deployment of ArcGIS Server, SDE, OpenSpirit, so knowledge of BP's current GIS landscape not a real advantage.
Role Deliverables:
High level project deliverables:-
· Standard GIS architectural blueprint
· Support model
· Deployment of GIS standard into the regions
Detailed deliverables in-line with CVP requirements. Including (but not limited to)
· Decision support package to move through stage gates
· Updated entry in Planview
· Technical infrastructure plan
· Project Execution Plan
Essential
Typically 5+ years Project Management experience or equivalent
Successfully delivered tier 2 project > $1m
Experience of external vendor/partner management
Demonstrable evidence of completed global projects and management of approximately 5 - 15 staff on a project basis
Working knowledge and practical application of Project Management methodologies and tools
Communicates effectively at all levels
Practitioner level accreditation e.g. PMP
Experience of undertaking global project delivery with GOI, PTAD, Digital Security, etc.
Experience deploying ESRI ArcGIS Server and SDE technology in a federated environment
System design and optimization experience for ESRI technology deployment
Thorough knowledge of CVP (or alternate stage gate decision process) and underlying project methodologies
A solid track record of delivering global software application development projects within an Upstream environment
Significant experience in a similar role in an oil/gas company
