SQL Server Administration (DBA)
Desired Experience Range 5-8 Years
Location of Requirement Pittsburgh, US

Must-Have
• Excellent Understanding of SQL Server database concepts, architecture, related utilities and tools.
• Experience in Installation and upgrading databases.
• Experience in Backup and Recovery Tasks
• Day-to-Day Database Administration
• Maintaining and Patching SQL Server Databases
• Performance Diagnostics and Tuning
• Maintaining strong database level security.
• Troubleshooting SQL Server errors.
• Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Good documentation, presentation and communication skills.
Good-to-Have
• SQL Server Database administration related Certification
• SQL/PLSQL Development experience is added plus
SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1 Installation, configuration and upgrading of SQL Server software and related products
2 Perform Patch research, analysis and implementation
3 Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
4 Perform Performance Monitoring, database and SQL tuning
5 Implement and Enforce database security
6 Evaluate SQL Server features and related products
7 Perform database designing and Capacity Planning
8 Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams
9 Administers all database objects
10 Enforces and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the database
11 Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.
12 Interface with Microsoft Corporation for technical support.
13 Maintain documentation and standards
