Job Description
Advanced FPGA engineers design and develop systems and computers, and test electronic equipment for our client including: digital computers, communications equipment and systems, circuitry components, radar and radiation detection equipment, and control and test equipment. Additional duties include being able to:
Implement imaginative thinking and ideation to enhance our client's business performance,
Provide innovative, flexible, incorporated solutions to fulfill customer's dynamic business essentials,
Support and involve in programs, projects and practices behind the company's philosophy and strategy, and conform to all policies and procedures, and
Follow industry and department patterns and developments to guarantee company services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
Our client is seeking a digital logic design resource for digital logic design activities focusing on FPGAs, for a military environment. This position requires experience with a variety of digital logic design techniques including FPGA, PWB, Module, Microcontrollers, DSPs and lab checkout. Our client is seeking a self-starter, who has the ability to translate customer requirements into a cost-effective design that is optimized for manufacturing and periodic operational maintenance. The qualified candidate must be able to multitask and prioritize while dealing with projects tasks.
Key Requirements
Candidates must exhibit a passion for advancement, a refined understanding of electronic equipment and systems, and the ability to further enhance and company network technology.
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of related work experience or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of related experience in FPGA Verilog HDL Digital Logic Design techniques, methodologies and relevant verification activities.
Proficiency with constraint generation for synthesis and timing closure techniques.
Experience with high speed interfaces and a variety of memory subsystems.
Design experience with various FPGA technologies.
Participation in Module/PWB design and engineering lab checkout.
Experience with Microsoft Office tools, low level software languages and scripting languages.
Good written, oral and presentational communication skills and the ability to deliver effective, clear and concise technical documentation.
Occasional travel may be required.
U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred requirements:
Successful participation in FPGA design and verification tasks.
Participation in a team environment to execute FPGA Logic Design activities targeting Xilinx and/or Altera FPGAs, Synthesis, Timing closure, Verification and Lab integration.
Board and Module digital logic design experience and experience as a member of a successful Lab integration team.
Proficient in coding Verilog.
Familiarity with SystemVerilog and VHDL.
Familiarity with high speed switch design approaches.
Embedded microprocessor/DSP design and programing experience.
Experience with Network Protocols such as IG Ethernet, Fibre Channel, PCIe, AMBA etc.
Expertise with various scripting languages and approaches.
