The IT Sr. Business Analyst II role is crucial to the success of client.

In this role you will collaborate with Business Requestors in several different client departments, including: Customer Experience, HR, Legal, Finance, internal IT, Supply Chain, Field Services, Service and Repair and Customer Care.

You will be responsible for eliciting requirements and writing requirements documents with the goal of profiling and estimating IT project costs.

This work is pivotal to the success of our Business partners, as it helps them evaluate which projects they would like to move forward with.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of IT Business Analysis (Request Definition) in our IT Business Value Management department, you would be a vital part of our team. Among other things, you will be:

Conducting requirements analysis.

Documenting requirements

Presenting project requirements and cost back to Business Partners

Working to continuously improve our internal processes In addition to working with Business Requestors, you will work closely with our Enterprise Solution Architecture group, and our IT estimating (ROM) group.

Job Description:

We are looking for an established, talented BA who can speak the language of the client business while working with internal IT groups.

We need someone who can establish solid relationships, build trust, be a team player and deliver quality work. In the first 90 days the manager expects someone to get up to speed fast.

You will begin by shadowing another BA and then take on smaller projects and then bigger projects. By the 6 month mark it is expected that you will be able to handle small to medium projects on your own and to also help improve the various processes that this role interacts with.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of work experience as Business Analyst in related business/industry.

Experience eliciting and documenting requirements in the form of business processes, use cases, data requirements, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements.

Experience with Billing Systems, Supply Chain Systems and Sales Systems.

Knowledge of customer ordering and fulfillment a plus.

Ability to handle several projects at once.

Superior written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to thrive in an extremely fast paced environment.

IIBA certification is a plus.

Additional Information:

The BA role on my team is a bit different than that of Solutions Delivery.

In BVM, we are really upfront in the SDLC process and are talking to requestors at the idea phase, trying to scope out high level requirements.

This takes an extremely good communicator and someone eager and willing to work in a really fast paced environment (as you know) J Check out the attached job description to give your recruiters a heads up.

A bonus would be a good infrastructure BA, or someone who has some sort of background in IT Operations (HW, Networking, Telephony, working with vendors). Not a must have, but these folks are rare, and would be a nice to have for sure as we get requests that we need to price out from groups to beef up infrastructure or open new call centers, etc
