Location: Houston, TX( Travel between the two Client locations. One at down Town and the other at Tomball Parkway both in Houston, TX ) LOCALS Preferred
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Rate: $55/hr All Inclusive on C2C/1099
Job Description:
· This position is for an entry level SAP Basis Administrator.
· This position will support the following: SAP Solutions ERP, HCM, SCM, SRM, BI, MM, SD, CCS, GRC, PI, MDM, SLD, CRM, Portal, Solution Manager E2E and TMS.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Manage SAP Installation, Maintenance and Administration, Problem Determination and Performance Analysis for all SAP environments (development, test, training and production)
· Identify, clarify, and resolve system development and maintenance activity issues and risks, escalating them as needed
· Support and implement database needs for all SAP applications and assist with application development issues and client problem resolution.
· Provide consulting assistance to IT customers regarding the development of applications using SAP database environments.
· Develop and review production deployment implementation plans in compliance with IT production control requirements.
· Database Change Management (create/alter/drop database objects in all database environments) to support applications and project service levels.
· Review technical documentation to verify compliance with client requirements and established architectural standards and guidelines
· Evaluate software or system releases to determine compatibility
· Assist the DBA team as required
· Manage SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS)
· Manage SAP ChaRM
· Configure and manage SAP Printers
· Monitoring of all SAP Systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc..)
· Perform SAP client administration (create client, copy client, delete client, export/import client) as required.
· Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.
· Work with the operations team to determine how the application is supported in production, including back-ups, disaster recovery, system performance, and project management.
· Creation of load balancing plan and administration
· Provide 24x7 on-call support as scheduled and off hour problem resolution for all SAP environments as needed.
· Perform System Upgrades
· Apply new support package stacks and kernel upgrades
· Apply OSS Notes
· Interact with external support teams
· Documenting and updating of SAP environment
· Must analyze situations and provide problem resolution
· Provide status reports to management
Education:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
In lieu of a degree, any combination of applicable education and experience equal to three (3) years.
