Minimum Requirements:
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Adept in Business Intelligence Technologies especially Tableau and / or (Cognos, BusinessObjects, Oracle,)
• Tableau Required - 2 years minimum.
• SQL Development
• Data Mapping/Data Quality/Data Mapping
• ETL Consolidation
• Star Schema, Snow Flakes, Cubes, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Must be a team worker with outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks with minimal guidance
• Ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Excellent Problem recognition and problem solving abilities
• Excellent work ethic, dependable and responsible
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors' Degree (Masters preferred)
Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Business Intelligence Developer to join our Clinical Informatics Department. The Business Intelligence developer will have the responsibility of supporting and developing our critical database BI Reporting platform using Tableau, and hence must have experience architecting, designing and optimizing Tableau. The role will include developing enterprise level Dashboards and Workbooks, troubleshooting performance and ensuring quality and accuracy in all components and metrics of the Dashboards / Workbooks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• 5-7 years of experience with the installation, configuration and administration of BI Software and working knowledge of Tableau Software products (Desktop/Online/Server) and strong knowledge of the capabilities, functionality, and behaviors of BI reporting tools.
• 5-7 years of experience in enterprise and application level data profiling, data visualization, architecture, modeling, and analysis
• Advanced knowledge of workbook/dashboard/storytelling development - including the usage of
multiple data sources, table calculations, geocoding, mapping, usage of parameters, visualizations (Gantt bar charts, market basket analysis, waterfall charts)
• Experience configuring user authentication/authorization protocols and role-based authorization methodologies
• Understand and implement industry best practices for BI Software, preferably in Tableau Desktop/Online/Server.
• Tableau Desktop/Server Certified Professional (preferred)
