Release Engineer - Salesforce Specialist

 

We are looking for an Application Release Analyst with Salesforce Experience. The Application Release Analyst role is primarily responsible for providing operational software release management support for applications within the clients Investment Systems. The application systems are a combination of internally developed systems and purchased packages. The skills that this role requires include excellent analysis skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, problem solving skills, and document preparation and formatting skills. In addition, some experience in gathering and documenting system requirements and writing specifications is highly desirable.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Participates in software releases and service requests

•Works closely with customers to package and deploy application code and/or scripts to support application bug fixes or enhancements

•Reviews adhoc reports to understand weekly release demand and assists in keeping team service provisioning in a load balanced state

•Consults with customers on an as-needed basis for technical support, release planning and issues resolution

•Acts as liaison between internal customers and Operational Service Providers (if external to Application Release)

•Performs analysis to effectively understand and address release management issues. Consults with customers, operational providers and Change Management to effectively remediate issues

•Works closely with IT leadership to identify and prioritize releases based on the current release schedule

•Makes recommendations to customers to streamline release builds, packaging and refactoring application release architecture where appropriate

•Provides hands-on training to development customers by developing job aids and providing other forms of documentation for release management

•Provides direction and support to application developers when application changes require knowledge of current audit requirements
