Role: Network Engineer
Location: Lincolnshire, IL
Type: Contract
Description:
· To lead the networking function of the EMEA IT Infrastructure team
· To provide operational support, future planning, and providing solutions to business needs as and when they arise.
· Operationally the role will be responsible for maintain the service and ensuring high levels of visibility through efficient monitoring and alerting
· Ability to design/deploy/support multi-site/campus networks utilising the following technology, and documentation to a high standard.
· Minimum 8 years as a network technical lead for a multinational company
· Minimum 5 years leading a team of engineers
· Experience running either 20+ sites, or sites spread throughout at least 8 countries
· Project management experience
· Managing the development of team members, writing development plans and tracking progress
· Experience with digital certificates, generating and installing, at least a basic understanding of the exchange.
· (Zebra uses digital certificates for dual factor authentication and a key piece of our DMVPN and SSL VPN solutions)
· Working knowledge/experience of data room/centre deployments from troubleshooting the installation of hardware mounting rails, cat5e+ cable to full ASA deployment out of a box.
· (Someone with hands on experience that has learned from mistakes on the field, racking, stacking, cabling, configuring, deploying, testing, re-configuring, reading drawings and can think outside the box during environment down emergencies.)
· Positions requires off-hours support.
· IPSec VPN, basic understanding of how the different phases work and how to troubleshoot or at least be able to know keywords to search in google
· Self-driven/motivated, takes ownership….this is KEY!
· Team player and is willing to offer ideas but also be flexible to change when needed.
· Professional, no history of insubordination or conflict with vendors or other team members.
· Should preferably possess experience / skillset / in below listed technologies / protocols.
· CCNP/CCIE Certified or Equivalent experience. MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, Chassis based switching and routing, Cisco ASA inc firepower, Cisco stackable switches (2960, 3650, 3750, 3850), Cisco instant access switches, Cisco VSS, HSRP/GLBP, Centralised internet breakout (IPOP), DMVPN, Cisco anyconnect, QOS/COS – specifically for voice and video traffic, Cisco call manager (including SRSTP), Cloud PBX solutions, Knowledge of SaaS, IaaS, UCaaS
