Job Summary
As a Systems Analyst for the GP Compliance team you will actively participate in a team environment developing and optimizing a wide variety of IT solutions that align with business initiatives. In this role you will:
Participate with application design and architecture planning.
Perform analysis, design and development work using a variety of solutions and technologies.
Evaluate the impact of design decisions on the code, database, and technical environment of the applications.
Evaluate interaction between various applications and the business strategy.
Propose alternative solutions to achieve desired result.
Serve as the functional and technical specialist for one or more applications while advising, assisting and providing technical backup on multiple applications supported by the group.
Perform on call support, as needed.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Strong prioritization and organizational skills, including the ability to handle and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks and projects while providing realistic delivery dates and managing customer expectations. Deadline driven.
Enjoys multi-tasking and has the ability to quickly shift gears
Able to understand and communicate complex problems/solutions while tailoring communication to the audience level for both verbal and written communications.
Customer Support focused
Able to work both in a team environment and independently under minimal supervision.
Fast learner and takes initiative to learn new technologies and search out process improvements.
Also willing to support applications using older technology.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills in resolving business needs; able to understand changing business needs and how technology can assist.
Completes projects and tasks within estimated timeframe and in accordance with acceptable quality measurements.
Estimate scope-of-effort for tasks.
Experienced testing self-developed code and solutions as well as systems supported by the team
Conducts or supervises investigation and resolution of application issues with minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications [Required]
Bachelor/s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or some other technology related field
4 years+ experience developing and supporting enterprise applications; demonstrated proficiency in asp.net using VB.
4 years+ experience developing database applications using SQL Server: experience with transact-SQL, stored procedures and optimization of database schemas
2 years+ experience with MVC and jQuery
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years working with JavaScript (more than just control basic control validation)- preferred
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)-preferred
Experience working with AJAX-preferred
