Skill set: - Network Admin
Exp required: - 5 to 7 years
Location: - Houston, TX
Duration: - 12 months
Start Date: - ASAP

Must have skills:
Ø Cisco design skills (at least CCNP/CCDP level, preferably CCIE)
Ø Develop network designs from high-level architecture, to specific end-to-end component interconnectivity and configuration.
Ø Conduct and participate in design reviews.
Ø Interprets network diagrams and documentation.
Ø Design authority on a broad range of datacoms technologies and protocols. This includes Transmission, WAN , LAN, Security, Wireless.
Ø Being able to design medium-to-large scalable Enterprise networks and thorough understanding of topologies and routing- Understanding of the services (Desktop services - including mail, caching, Citrix -, SAP) that use enterprise networks and translate their requirements into detailed network design.
Ø Can translate high-level security policies into network design.
Ø Able to provide clear advice to customers and project managers given the constraints of time, resources and budget.
Ø Able to write a standards document with global scope.
Ø Understands the balance between flexibility and standardisation and is able to assess the effect on overall TCO.
Ø Masters new technologies fast and is able to position these in the AT&T standards portfolio.

Ø Transmission (SDH, DWDM, Frame-relay, ATM) and wireless technologies (WIFI, WIMAX, Microwave).
Ø Cisco product portfolio and configuration of Cisco products.
Ø Security components and concepts including firewalls, IDS, IPSEC, PKI.
Ø Convergence (VOIP, video conferencing, H.323, SIP, Instant Messaging)
Ø IPT (Nortel, Cisco, Microsoft OCS)
Ø Routing (BGP, OSPF, PIM, MPLS).
Ø Quality of Service
Ø Content switching
Ø Data centres
Ø Campus LAN
Ø Protocols (TCP, UDP, NETBIOS, NFS, SMTP, SQL, etc)
Ø Physical design (power, cooling, racks, cabling).Good team leadership experience with the ability to initiate and maintain strong relationships with other sub-process peers and business users.
