Title: Sr. Storage/ VMware Engineer (Hardware)
Location: Minneapolis/St. Paul | MN
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 4-6 Months Contract with Extension
Responsibilities:
At least 3 years of experience in IBM H class Blade center with additional experience in QLogic and Cisco. Additional networking experience in a VMWare and Windows 2003/08 environment would be required as well.
Required:
· 3+ years' "INDEPTH" experience working with IBM H class Blade center enclosures. This includes the following details as well
o QLogic 8GB Switch modules
o Cisco 1GB Switch modules and 1/10GB BNT switches
o Setting up and implementing IBM Blade Center Management Modules.
· 3+ years' experience working with VMware host systems and vcenter experience in IBM Blade Center enclosures. Specifically
o networking with multiple VLANs and VLAN tagging
o fiber channel connectivity and setting up vmfs partitions
· 3+ years' experience working with Cisco 9200 Series MDS Fiber channel Switches and Nexus 5000 Series switches with fiber channel modules and completing proper Zoning of systems.
· Windows 2003 and 2008 Server experience with networking and fiber channel connectivity for systems in IBM H class Blade center enclosures.
Desired:-
· Experience with SolarWinds Orion would be plus as well. (not critical)
