       Title:  Sr. Build/Release Engineer

              Location:  Columbia, MD

              Start date:   ASAP

              Duration:  18 +  Months Contract with Extension

  
Responsibilities:

VIDEO INTERVIEW  REQUIRED (PC WEBCAM AND SMARTPHONE WEBEX APP TO BE DOWNLOADED)

 

Experience: 10+ years overall

Job Responsibilities:

 

1.      Will be heavily involved in Software Release management, Linux administration, Perl/shell scripting, work that involves Jenkins builds. Some coding experience with Java, C is helpful but not required. Various other tools will be used like Puppet, Nexus, Sonar etc.

2.      Experienced in handling script development, maintenance responsibilities - including Shell, Perl scripts etc. but not limited to.

3.      Experienced with automation concepts and have engineered/interpreted manual processes towards process automation, release automation etc.

4.      Experienced with software build tools upgrades, patches, restarts, testing system configuration changes, troubleshooting, disk-space management etc.

                                            

MANDATORY SKILLS:

- Linux : strong system admin skills 6+yrs (will not consider without Linux skills)

- Scripting: Perl, Shell scripting : 3+yrs

- Code Deployments: Apache, Tomcat: 2+ years install and config

 

OPTIONAL SKILLS:

 

- Jenkins or Hudson : good to have

- Maven : optional

- SQL: some basic knowledge helpful

- Java or C : some basic coding knowledge helpful
