Senior Software Development Engineer - (Cassandra)
Work Location San Jose(CA)
Duration 1 Year
• Deploy Apache Cassandra in a multi-tenant enterprise environment
• Develop platform operations automation for distributed storage systems
• Design platform architectures and web services
• Grow and maintain cloud object storage platform
• Participate in agile concepts such as daily stand-up meetings, task tracking boards, design and code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration
Mandatory Technical Skills "Must have a strong understanding of server-side Java API and frameworks including the Spring framework
• Understanding of Column family and Best Practices.
• Good knowledge of CASSANDRA Data model and Basic Scripting.
• Basic knowledge of Datastax Enterprise Edition
• Experience building applications to handle large numbers of concurrent users
• Effective system design and problem solving skills
• Willingness to take part in both quality assurance and systems operations
• Willingness to work in a dynamic agile environment and participate in all aspects of our agile process
• Java, .NET, or other OO languages with concurrency
• Python or other common scripting languages
• SQL, CQL or other data-oriented declarative languages
• Web services (REST, SOAP)
• Distributed file stores (Ceph, Nexenta)
• Other distributed technologies (ZooKeeper, memcached, Redis)
• Very good Analytical and Communication skills
• Experience with project management, leading workshops, process documentation and consensus building"
