Project Manager         

Work Location            Caramel, IN or Parsippany,NJ           

Duration          12 months      

 

Mandatory Technical Skills    "5 to 7 years of experience in a Project Management role with a strong background in team development.

· Strong leadership capabilities, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with and influence clients, team members, management and external groups.

· Experience leading large application development or infrastructure design/deployment projects.

· Experience with project budgetary responsibilities.

· Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the business/client environment and systems, connectivity and application technological alternatives."          

Desirable Technical Skills       "Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Extensive knowledge of project management life cycle and systems development life cycle.

Extensive knowledge of project management tools, techniques and practices.

Ability to lead a team and deliver all phases of complex assignments.

Strong analytical, problem solving and planning ability.

Ability to interact and communicate with senior management.

Understanding of various technologies including, applications, databases, networking, telecommunications and connectivity.

Knowledge of MS Project, Clarity, Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Visio software programs.

Experience negotiating with business partners and external vendors."         

Mandatory Functional Skills/Role Description           "This position will be located in either Indianapolis or Parsippany, depending on where the best candidate is found.

 

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

This position is funded by Program United.

Develops and sustains relationships with business and IT project teams.

Manages project scope, schedule and risk including change control process.

Applies appropriate methodology, tools and templates for completing assigned projects.

Manages project cost to capital budget; manages monthly project capital forecasting

Capable of managing projects with a team size of at least 20 resources and a capital budget of at least $1,000,000.

Capable of managing projects with resources in multiple locations, onshore and offshore, including external vendors and consultants.

Maintains project work plans; creates required deliverables.

Creates / manages funding documentation to ensure final approval within budget allocations.

Facilitates creation of project-related RFPs, MSAs & SOWs.

Understands and consistently manages business expectations.

Reports status on assigned projects, including schedule, cost, scope, risk/issue."
