ALL ARE A MUST
Need to understand Labs & Engineering Environments - when clients are connecting to environment - how is the WAG translating and performing
CISCO & Juniper are not a must
Deep protocol knowledge - Policy based routing - own config & vendor relations. CISCO & Juniper.. ALU7750 Service Routers
Job Summary
* Primary focus is on execution, as such is engaged when the project has been added to the Plan of Record and has been assigned to the project manager by the technical solution owner.
* Assists in the preparation of, and leads as needed, the drafting of budgets, vendor Statements of Work, and resources plans.
* Creates detailed project plans, with all tasks, dependencies, and timelines identified, and keeps those project plans continuously updated.
* Advises the technical solution owner of upcoming critical path ideas, dependency problems, and other items in need of attention in order to deliver a project successfully.
* Escalates issues and concerns to immediate manager, and other stakeholders (as appropriate) in a timely manner.
* Ensures scope, schedule, and budget data are communicated to stakeholders, as they may evolve throughout a project.
* Inputs and tracks detailed project tasks, risks, status, and schedules in standard enterprise project management tools (i.e. Clarity) in a consistent and timely manner.
* Reports relevant status to managers and key stakeholders in a timely and consistent manner.
* Implements established processes to reduce risks and exposure in all areas of the project
* Ensures administration activities emphasize efficiency and quality.
* Establishes and maintains schedules, drives activities, identifies risks and dependencies and develops mitigation strategies, works with internal teams and external partners.
* Meets with program manager and solution owner on a regular basis.
* Occasional travel, on an as-needed basis.
Scope
* Standardization and configuration of WAG product
* Work with Vendor(s) to develop specification
* Documentation of specifications
* Development, Validation, and Documentation of solution
* Code/Configuration deployment automation
* Analysis of solution performance, scale, reliability
Deliverables
* WAG Product specification updates
* Network "golden" configurations
* Dual-Stack UE IPv6 enablement plan and configurations
* Capacity and Load testing models (Ixia/Spirent)
Required Skills
* Hands on experience with Wireless Access Gateway technology (Alcatel-Lucent, A10, and/or BENU experience is a plus)
* Experience with managed WiFi networks
* Experience with WiFi client technologies including TCP/IP, 802.11, 802.1x, EAP, etc.
* Experience with IP traffic analysis tools and techniques, such as IXIA and Spirent
* Strong Technical Troubleshooting skills
Desired Skills
* Hands on experience with ALU 7750
* Experience with software defined networks
* Experience with deep packet inspection tools and techniques
* Excellent documentation skills
* Experience implementing standardized templates and workflows
* Experience with implementing AAA Radius solutions
* Knowledge and experience with programming and scripting
* Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux
