SAP GTS Consultant for Implementation project - Phoenix, AZ
Job Description –
**Candidate should have several years of experience in SAP GTS module. Extensive knowledge and experience with SAP global implementations and knowledge of compliance processes and country practices. Exposure to SAP Sales & Operations planning also a plus**
Job Summary:
Analyzes, designs and configures packaged software products to meet business implementation needs. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned:
Principal Responsibilities:
•Uses knowledge of business functions and processes, configures and may design products, functionality of software packages and implementation tools and methodology to configure packaged software products to meet business requirements and specifications.
•Ensures the overall effectiveness of software systems and proactively evaluates, recommends and implements cost effective improvements.
•Evaluates hardware specifications and/or software technology against existing and future needs.
•Monitors, evaluates and reports on the ongoing performance and capacity of assigned area(s) of the computing environments (software and hardware specifications) in order to ensure business requirements are met.
Job Level Specifications:
•Applies advanced knowledge of technical standards, principles and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Advanced knowledge of other related disciplines.
•Solves highly complex and unusually challenging technical problems. Assignments require extensive evaluation of alternatives and data. Solutions are highly innovative and ingenious. Is expected to make improvements to technology standards and practices.
•Works virtually independently toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated using independent judgment and discretion. Work is checked through consultation and agreement with others and only informally from direct supervisor. Might supervise 1 - 2 individuals who provide tactical / technical support.
•Serves as advisor to management and external spokesperson for the organization on major technical initiatives. Acts as an advisor to management and customers on advanced technical initiatives and applications.
•Actions guide and impact the successful completion of major projects. May Will function as a project leader on a global implementation initiative. Effects of erroneous decisions are long-lasting, require the expenditure of extensive additional resources and will result in the organization's failure to meet objectives.
Work Experience:
•Typically 10+ years with bachelor's or 8+ years with master's in a global organization with five years of experience on cross-regional technology projects. Cross-cultural awareness and change management skills are a plus.
Education and Certification(s):
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Distinguishing Characteristics:
•Leads integrated design efforts to meet business needs across functional areas.
