C++ Developer

San Diego, CA

C++, Mobile Framework experience, Embedded development

The Mobile Framework Developer is responsible for designing and developing a framework of reusable software components to be used on several mobile operating systems.

This role will help define and establish the tool chain and technologies necessary for cross platform mobile development including but not limited to: development environment, source organization, compiler, static analysis, automated tests, and external language bindings.

Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable C++ code for mobile devices

Adapt code to new platforms as required

Ensure code is performant and minimizes resource usage.

Design and build automated (e.g. unit/integration) tests where appropriate

Ensure code is readable and maintainable by other engineers (e.g. Comments)Configure continuous integration tools to generate builds and run tests as required

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Experience:

Minimum 4 years of experience developing cross platform C++ libraries and or frameworks

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Strong proficiency in C++, with particular emphasis on C++ 11 and later

Working knowledge of Boost and how to apply it

Experience working in a memory constrained environment (embedded)

Thorough knowledge of the standard library

Demonstrable understanding of memory management in C++, particularly with respect to C++ 11 variants

Familiarity with templating

Knowledge of low level threading primitives

Some familiarity with language interoperability is preferable
