Position: QA Tester with ArcGIS

Job Location - San Diego, CA

Duration: 6 Months

 

Job Description:

 

• Any Graduate with minimum 5 years' experience working on ESRI GIS and experience on Software testing.

 

Required Skills:

•

Hands-on skills working on ESRI products - ArcGIS Desktop, Geodatabase & ArcGIS Server version 9.3.1 and up

• Experience in Manual Testing (System Testing and Data Validation)

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in Utilities

• ESRI Geodatabase - Data Replication process

• Understanding of Mobile Workforce - Work Management Process

• Experience in using HPQC

• Should have very good experience with working on various GIS Application testing in a typical Utility customer environment

• Should have very good understanding of utility asset used in a typical electric domain & GIS circuits

• Should have experience on testing and/or development of GIS applications

• Should have experience working in a typical development and test environment and should have used at least one test management tool such as HP QC ALM, IBM Rational tools, etc

• Responsible for the application testing based on review of GIS application requirements, design documents and other project artifacts

• Trouble shoot issues with the deployed application

• Peer review of test cases, test scripts and other deliverables created for the project

• Create Test Cases, Test Scripts, Test Data, Test execution based on the test scripts in manual mode

• Log defects in the environment setup for this purpose and track close of all defects in final deliverables

• Follow SDLC processes defined in the project

• Participate in defect triage calls with developers, users and SMEs

• Participate in customer and team meetings and create project documentation

• Liaise with customer contact points and offshore testing team for appropriate knowledge sharing, query resolution, status reporting, etc.

• Maintain project artifacts as per the defined configuration management process using appropriate configuration management tool.
