Application Hosting Engineer-Server
Our client is looking for a talented server systems engineer with very strong communication skills and broad technical and project leadership experience
along with technical, analytical and communications skills for the management and design of a large On- Premise server farm environment.
The Application Hosting team manages the design, implementation, and documentation of Windows 2008, Windows 2012 servers, Citrix, VMware 5.5 hypervisor,
Linux, and HP-UX, vBlock 700 and 300 series, HP, Dell and UCES servers.
Required Skills:
· Broad experience with independently leading the implementation of technical projects.
· Extremely strong communication skills with experience communicating and presenting to executive management.
· Experience implementing VCE vBlock is a plus.
· Experience managing UCES and vBlock.
· Experience with large server farms including Windows
· 2008 thru 2012, Linux SuSE, and Vmware 5.5
· vCenter and ESXi host deployments.
· Experience managing Citrix Farms is a plus.
· Experience managing Windows Servers with SCCM is a plus.
· Experience utilizing Puppet for configuration management is a plus.
· A solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies including: Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and DHCP.
Desired Skills:
VMware, VBlock, Cisco UCES, Service Manager 7,Service Now, HP and Dell server hardware knowledge, Citrix, Puppet,SCCM
