Role: Project Manager - Senior Business Program Manager / BPM Human Resources 
Work Location:  Redmond, Seattle



Detailed Job Responsibilities:
•      HR Portfolio Management & Governance - Develop, influence, and manage relationships with key business leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment of IT solutions with business goals and priorities.
•      Business Architecture - Application of Business Architecture and analysis techniques to translate business strategies into clearly defined outcomes that have a tangible business value and metrics. 

             Create and maintain Capability Heat Maps, Strategic Roadmaps to ensure alignment with business goals.
•      Market and Industry Analysis Leverage Industry and Market research to identify strategic gaps in the portfolio and create point of views that span People, Process, Technology and influence key business stakeholders to prioritize investments.
•      Business Process Optimization - Design and Application of Process Flows, Process measurement frameworks and Process Improvement Methodologies to minimize cost, maximizing throughput and efficiency.
•      Agile Delivery - Work closely with the engineering and business to facilitate requirements definition, product releases.
•      User Experience - Ability to define end to end experience scenarios and identify dependencies across business areas to ensure a connected end to end experience for customers, partners, or users.

This is a highly visible position that requires partnership with Senior business leader’s within the Microsoft HR organization.   

The candidate should be a dynamic leader with an established track record of high internal satisfaction and developing strong relationships in a virtual/matrix environment composed of architects, engineers and service operations team members. 

In this role, you have a unique opportunity to influence and drive both business and technical decisions as a leader of a diverse team of IT professionals.   

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:
•      Passion for HR process and technology 
•      Strong cross group collaboration skills and ability to build credible relationships across multiple internal customer groups. 
•      Strong negotiation and consensus building skills and ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
•      Ability to solve highly unstructured business problems.
•      Highly developed analytical skills and critical thinking skills.
•      Sound understanding of IT technology concepts; understanding of software architectures, MS products, development tools, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) guidelines etc.
•      ERP knowledge, preferably SAP HR, Workday or PeopleSoft
•      Good knowledge of industry best practices and HR technologies
•      Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills and ability to distill technology projects into understandable and compelling executive level presentations.
•      Ability to develop a vision and purpose in a matrixed organization around a direction.
•      Experience in consulting, especially with companies such as Accenture, IBM, Deloitte, PWC etc.

This person will be responsible for:
•      Supporting the annual planning and funding process for the designed portfolio ensuring application of core business architecture principles (i.e., clear definition of business strategy, processes, multiyear roadmaps, development of business cases, operational principles etc.).
•      Representing Microsoft IT in steering committee meetings and monthly/quarterly business reviews.
•      Building and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships and partnerships across Microsoft IT orgs
•      Understanding the long term vision of our business partners and influencing IT roadmaps to meet these needs 
•      Collaborating with business partners to find alternatives and solutions to business challenges; providing recommendations around minimum viable product from one release to the next.
•      Establishing and managing expectations for delivery and benefit realization across stakeholders.
•      Driving scope/schedule/resource (including budget) trade-off decisions across the portfolio planning process
