Title : Java Developer

Location : CT

Contract :6+ Months

Interview process:

1st rd: Phone interview with manager

2nd rd: Onsite/Phone interview with Java Architect in their NJ office.

Will hire via phone. Onsite presences in , CT is required

Must haves:

· Good Communication: Manager and Vendor interaction during the deployment phase

· Excellent problem solving and application support in Java, SQL Server, and Windows

· Java/J2EE, SQL Server 2008, JBoss, Web service

Java Application Support – Billing System

Provide support and maintenance for the Billing applications within Production, Test and Development environments. Perform day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· Windows 2008 and higher

· jBoss 6.x EAP, jBoss 7.x CE (experience with jBoss application deployments)

· SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2 (ability to create and execute scripts)

· Java/JDK 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 knowledge (good to have, but not mandatory)

· Experience with IIS, C#, VB.Net is a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Configuration management:

· Install and configure new software.

· Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with installs

· Perform routine audit of systems and software.

· Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.

· Assist performance Tuning team on System performance tuning activities.

· Configure, add, and delete file systems as required

· Ability to handle multiple complex tasks at once

· Ability to work well with team members, customers and management
