Position: Windows Administrator/Engineer

Location: San Antonio, TX

Duration: 6 Months

 

Client in San Antonio, Texas 78229 is seeking a Windows Administrator / Windows Engineer. The candidate MUST HAVE experience leading projects and performing documentation work as they continue to deploy their new Windows servers throughout 2015. MUST HAVE MS Project experience in addition to Project Planning and Documentation. US Citizens, Green Card Holders, and Visa holders are welcome to apply. MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

The successful candidate must have hands-on experience with day-to-day Windows (2008 R2/2012) and Linux (RHEL 5.X/6.X) operations with application installation, support, testing, and troubleshooting skills. A strong background in project management is required, as is experience utilizing VMware in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who excels in a team environment.

 

High skill level and experience is required for the following:

Windows System Administration Skills (Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 and 2012). Application installation, support, testing, and troubleshooting skills. Virtualization Experience (VMware ESX 5.1/5.5)

 

Medium skill level and experience is required for the following:

Project Management (project planning, documentation, RFCs). Linux System Administration Skills (preferred: Red Hat Enterprise Linux). DB Administration Experience (desired: Microsoft SQL, MySQL, or Informix). Deployment & Configuration Automation Experience (desired:  Cobbler, Blade Logic, and Puppet)

 

Low skill level and experience is required for the following:

Demonstrated VMware vCloud experience. Backup and Restore Experience (desired: NetBackup). System Monitoring Experience (desired: Zabbix). Experience with administration of load balance devices (preferred F5 Big-IP)
