Requirements :

Position Description:

The Senior Java Developer shall develop & maintain Java based Web Applications. They will have prime accountability for major projects and will develop detailed and robust design, code, test, and implement proposed systems. They will use the ability to develop technical solutions, document the solution architecture, & design document using UML. They will have hands-on experience with projects supporting Service Oriented Architecture principles. They will work independently and provide technical directions to team members. They will use superior oral and written communications skills to effectively convey progress, issues, reports, and other customer deliverables with clarity and value.

• Experience with J2EE technologies such as Core Java, JSP, EJB, JDBC, JMS, WASD, Web sphere, RAD or Servlets.
• Experience with writing Java Batch applications
• Experience in UML diagramming and design documentation.
• Database experience such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SQL or JDBC.
• XML processing experience such as XSD, XPath, XSL, XSLT, etc.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, SSL.
• Experience with complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution issues.

Skills Requirements:

• Experience with J2EE Framework/ORM such as Struts and Hibernate.
• Experience with Web Service Technology and Security
• Service Definition Language (WSDL), WS-Security, Web Services-Interoperability (WS-I), Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism (MTOM), or SOAP With Attachments (SWA)
• Familiarity with project management frameworks
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Exposure to writing Technical White Papers and systems design documents.
• Self-starter, highly motivated individual, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to investigate/research issues, determine impact, and provide solutions.
• Experience with version control software such as MKS and CSS.
• Familiar with Web Service technologies such as Apache Axis, SOAP and WSDL.
• Familiar with Rational Unified Process, CMM/CMMI.
• Familiar with MS Project and Visio.
• Familiarity with IT Governance frameworks.

Education:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 11 years of professional experience; or 9 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
