Title: Linux Engineer
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Duration: 6 Months
Execute Application Administrative tasks as directed. Existing team members are present and knowledgeable in execution of any tasks requested and generally have documentation to describe how to complete a task.
• Configure and deploy application monitoring in coordination with Monitoring team
• Printer installation and configuration within applications including JD Edwards, Create!Form and Red Prairie WMS
• Assist with Security Role assignment where needed in selected applications
• Assist with data refreshes from production to lower environments where needed
• Assist with scripting or executing administrative tasks as needed
In each case, there would be someone here who knows how to complete the task requested. There should be very little 'discovery' or research required. Generally someone with experience in Linux administration, database administration or general system administration can handle the type of work we do. A pure software developer may also be able to adapt to this type of work depending on background
