Job Description:
Description: Clients Platform Services Team (Virtualization, Storage, & Backup) is seeking a VMWare Administrator / Engineer to support daily operations, continued advancement of the associated technologies, and project management pertaining to our VMWare Virtual and Cloud infrastructure.
Requirements:
· Experience in designing, deploying and supporting vCenter and vSphere environments in a global enterprise data center
· Hands-on advanced experience with VMware enterprise products including vCloud Director, vShield, vCenter Orchestration, vCenter Operations, and Site Recovery Manager high desireable
· Extensive experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems running as Virtual Machines
· Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing technologies and implementation/operating experience in virtualized/cloud environments.
· Solid understanding of networking, DNS, VLANs, network segmentation, OSI model
· VCP certification(s) strongly preferred
· Automation experience in complex computing environments with variable customer requirements preferred
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to perform and deliver on-time well in a dynamic environment
· Ability to follow and adhere to policies, procedures and standards
· Proven ability to be able to learn and apply existing and emerging technologies
· Proven analytical and problem solving skills
· Strong Team player
