Systems Administrator (Solaris / Linux)
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Selected Responsibilities	1) Experience in Installing, upgrading and configuring SUN Solaris 10 on Sun Servers using Jumpstart Servers, Flash Archives and Interactive Installation 2) Experience in disk mirroring and Strong knowledge on SVM, VxVM, ZFS and RAID. 3) Experience in creation of Zones, Service Management Facilities, Virtualization, Container based. 4) Experience in Solaris Patching. 5) Experience in multipathing using power path. 6) Should be familiar with Networking stuff and tools like tcpdump, nmap, Wireshark, SSH, Telnet, SMTP, netstat, netcat, etc. 7) Experience in Veritas Cluster - Installation, Configuration and Maintenance. 8) Experience in Installing, upgrading and configuring AIX using NIM. 9) Experience in installing VIOS, creating LPAR profile, performing  all the powerVM operations, Installing OS, building NIM server, Security remediation and OS hardening, upgrading HMC, system firmware and VIOS 10)Perform system management, Configuration Management, deep troubleshooting, preventative and corrective Maintenance, Performance Monitoring, and enhancement
Qualifications	i.      BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education or experience         ii.      Certification in System or Data Management. Other preferred certifications include: a.        Red Hat Linux certification; and b.        ITIL v3 Foundation Level certification       iii.       3-7  years of experience managing and supporting Unix / Linux environment, which include the following skill sets/systems/applications: a.        Configuring and building Linux systems and clusters; b.        Working with SAN attached servers; c.        Working as a Sun Solaris Administrator in a clustered server environment; d.        UNIX Sun Solaris 8, 9, and 10; e.        Veritas Volume Manager and Sun Cluster software; f.         Sun virtualization technologies (e.g., Ldoms, Zones); and g.        Working with monitoring and backup tools (e.g., Tivoli Storage Manager, EMC Ionix)        iv.       3-7 years of experience configuring and managing Storage Subsystems         v.       Knowledge of standard System Administration tools and practices        vi.       Knowledge of industry and government security standards and practices      vii.       Strong administration skills     viii.       Strong communication skills (written and oral)
