Systems Administrator (Windows)

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Selected Responsibilities

        i.      Administer Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)..

       ii.      Plan upgrades and roadmaps for new desktop management tools..

      iii.      Develop process documentation for updates and software deployments..

      iv.      Determine overall strategy for SCCM feature implementation and architecture..

       v.      Evaluate tools to facilitate deployment of desktops to users..

      vi.      Identify potential security risks and implements appropriate countermeasures..

     vii.      Administer backend servers used to manage Desktop Engineering systems..

    viii.      Generate action plans for addressing inactive clients and reporting inaccuracies

 

Qualifications

        I.          BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education or experience

      II.          At least 5 years' experience with SCCM.

     III.          5 years' experience with Windows desktop management and support.

     IV.          3 years' experience with Windows desktop deployment.

      V.          2 years' experience with Active Directory..

     VI.          Good knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

   VII.          Expert knowledge in Windows desktop management.

  VIII.          Working knowledge of VBScript, batch and other scripting languages.

     IX.          Working knowledge of Active Directory including group policies.

      X.          Working knowledge of Microsoft network services (DNS, WINS, DHCP, etc.).

     XI.          Some experience with fundamental network concepts (subnets, routing, etc.).

    XII.          Some basic fundamental knowledge on Mac OS.

  XIII.          Should have worked as server administrator

  XIV.          Knowledge of industry and government security standards and practices

   XV.          Strong administration skills

  XVI.          Strong communication skills (written and oral)
