Position: Java Development Lead

Location: Memphis Tennessee

Duration: 12 Months

 

The Lead / Developer must essentially have the following skills           

 

• Interest and experience in adapting and modernizing enterprise JVM tech stacks to support the building of solutions using technologies including one or more of the following: Java 8 (Lambdas, Streams, etc.), Groovy, Spring 4, Spring Boot, Gradle, Spock and Docker
• Strong TDD mindset and dedication to code quality.  Committed to writing new code with tests and dedicated to reducing technical debt, not adding to it
• Strong team player, leader and communicator
• Interest and experience in building API-first solutions, leveraging technologies including one or more of the following: Dropwizard, Jersey, Swagger, Jackson
• Interest and experience in building modern JVM frontends using technology including one or more of the following: Handlebars.js, HTML5, Angular.js, React, Ember.js.

 

Technical skills required:

• 10+ years of Java development experience.
• In addition to the technologies listed above , candidate must have experience in the following technology stack:

 

Presentation Layer Spring Web Flows ( This is the main skill) Spring MVC Validator Framework IoC Tiles JSP ( Highly Customized) Servlets Filters JSTL Custom Tag Libraries ( Hilton's own custom Tag Libraries) EL Function ( Expression Language Function) JavaScript ( Object Oriented) JSON jQuery Ajax Spring Expression Language Service Layer Spring Web Services Web Services Template(Spring WS) HTTPInvoker with Spring JiBX XML RPC Spring Web Flows Transliterator(ICU4J) Data Access Layer JDBC( integration with Spring) JPA (annotations) JPA Cache TopLink(ORM tool) Common Services Log4J Spring JMX Spring AOP Coherence Caching Spring OXM Tools HTTP FOX(Firefox addin) FireBug(Firefox) HTTP Modify Headers(Firefox addin) TOAD Eclipse Common Service Environment-Unix/Linux BuildTool-Ant App Server-WebLogic Server Database-Oracle, MySQL Scripting-Unix Shell Scripting Core Java-Multi Threading, Collections, Generics, Annotations, Predicates

 

 

• Candidate must have excellent understanding of Java and J2EE  Design Patterns
• Candidate must be very well conversant with Spring related technology stack with excellence in Spring  MVC and Spring Web Flows.
• Candidate must have worked in Oracle WebLogic Server .
• Must have experience in database design, analysis and programming throughout all phases of the software development life cycle in Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g RDBMS environments.
• Proficiency in MySQL and Sybase PL/SQL preferred.
• Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting preferred.
