Position: DevOps Engineer Location: Redwood city, CA Start date: as soon as possible Duration: 6 to 12 minimum We're based in sunny Redwood City, CA and funded by top investors like Andreessen Horowitz, Data Collective, and Costanoa Venture Capital. Our customers include some of the world's largest organizations, with thousands of employees and petabytes of data. What we are · Our team is a group of intelligent, hard-working, and fun people with diverse backgrounds · Our product consists of a solution for people to find, understand, use, and govern data · Our system runs smart algorithms to organize data from diverse sources and deeply analyzes their semantics and usage What we are NOT · A database or cloud computing company · A business intelligence company · A consulting company Some of the things you will be doing include... · Owning and developing out IT environment · Developing automation around EC2, Jenkins, Dockers, VMs · Developing our release management and upgrade infrastructure · Developing configuration and integration tools with customer IT systems MANDATORY Skill set: a) Release engineering with Jenkins b) Some DBA skills to maintain our test database instances, especially CDH and Hortonworks on ec2 c) Ability to debug and maintain our VPN server You should have · Experience with UNIX, python, and bash · Experience with network management · A desire to automate the world · Ability to drive projects independently · An interest in security
