Job Role: Localization Framework Developer

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 1-4years

Description 1
•    Minimum three (3) to five (5) years experience in a role with responsibility for installation, maintenance, tuning, security and high availability of Linux server infrastructures.
•    Minimum three (3) to five (5) years experience working as a Systems Engineer with common protocols/software such as: DNS, NTP, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, syslog, SSH
•    Experience with RESTful APIs
•    Demonstrable experience with cloud infrastructure automation such as Chef, CFEngine, or Puppet.
•    Strong familiarity with scripting languages; preference given to Ruby, Python, Bash, and Shell
•    Familiarity with agile software development lifecycle including source control systems (e.g; Git), ticketing systems (e.g; JIRA, Bugzilla) and managed workflows.
•    Experience with builds using Jenkins
•    Familiarity with operations best practices, including usual themes (e.g; Backups, Security)
•    Excellent troubleshooting skills, able to nail down tricky problems. Used to isolating things down to network faults, hardware faults, knowledge of performance/tuning within Linux kernel
•    Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

Description2
1.    Experience with development and frameworks including Django. Any experience with OpenStack Horizon will be definite advantage.
2.    Strong familiarity with scripting languages; preference given to Ruby or Python or shell

Description3
•    BS in CS or related field;
•    8+ years of relevant full lifecycle development experience, including in small teams;
•    5+ years experience in designing and building web applications and web services (RESTful/SOA), incorporating modern technologies and frameworks
•    Highly skilled in Java, extensive experience with other languages, like NodeJS, Scala, etc., a plus
•    Experience with developing applications and frameworks, with a focus on system interoperability;
•    Experienced in agile development and data modeling, RMDBS/SQL (Oracle), object oriented methodologies, and basics of user interface development;
•    Prior exposure to localization environment a definite advantage, desire to gain an in-depth understanding of eBay's localization process a must;
•    Knowledge of and prior experience working on CMS interfaces, content processing or localization integration projects highly desirable;
•    Experience with relevant systems such as SDL WorldServer, Drupal, InQuira, or similar is highly desirable;
•    Proven track record of achieving results, with a strong delivery focus;
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
•    Flexible and able to deal with ambiguity;
•    Self-starter, fast learner, able to assess and absorb new technologies quickly and successfully.
