Job Description :

Role : QA Analyst

Location : Salisbury, NC

Duration : 6+ Months

GC and Citizen / Local Only

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree with equivalent experience.
7 years of IT quality assurance and systems/application testing experience (i.e. creation of test plans, cases and data, executing processes against the test plan, defect tracking, etc.)
Exposure and knowledge of SDLC and QA/Testing Deliverables: Comprehensive knowledge of systems-application testing.

Sound knowledge of standard testing and developing procedures.
Experience with Quality Center and/or other automated testing tools.

Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Description:

Performs full life cycle testing for the applications, platforms and related interfaces.
Follows Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), quality and project management best practices, complies with internal Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other processes related to regulatory or compliance requirements, and adheres to Change Control and Problem Management procedures.
Develops and manages successful partnership based relationship across multiple organizational units, at various levels.
Actively participates in requirement development meetings to gather/document software testing objectives from business units. Participates in functional and technical meetings, from the beginning of the project through the entire life cycle.
Analyzes business requirements to determine the range and scope of testing scenarios needed to fully exercise new or changed code. Identifies test objectives from requirement documents / technical design specifications, and maps test cases/test sets to test objectives to ensure test coverage.
Participates in the development of test strategies/test plans.
Writes test plans and test sets/test cases in compliance with QA & Release Management and industry standards for moderately complex business functions and/or multi system/integrated environments.
Identifies and/or creates test data following data compliance standards and requirements.
Executes end-to-end manual and/or automated tests, documents results, and works with developers to remediate issues/retest defects. Collaborates with other teams to achieve end-to-end process quality.
Uses testing tools such as Quality Center to record execution results and to store testing evidence.
Owns defects from identification, through triage and retest of the corrected code.
Supports change management/release management activities with detailed information regarding dependencies or risks identified during testing.
Maintains and updates test documentation, user guides and help notes to ensure accuracy of applications and related documentation.
Provides direction to less experienced QA Analysts and/or QA Specialists.
Coordinates with end-users to test when additional business/functional subject matter expertise is needed.
Designs and builds a regression test bed of repeatable test sets/test cases.
Tracks and reports test results for the application's compliance to the functional specifications.
Tracks, reports and reviews test results and associated metrics with QA & Release Management leadership team.
As required by changing business needs, completes additional responsibilities as assigned.
