Position: PL/SQL Developer
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Duration: 6 -12 Months
Job Description
• Experience in Designing and Development of OLAP and OLTP applications and experience in building Interface/conversion/data migration in client/server OLAP environment
• Thorough understanding of Normalization and De-normalization concepts and hands on experience in designing Normalized Databases and De-normalized Databases for transactional systems and analytical systems
• Having work experience on Oracle reports, XML/BI Publisher, Forms
• Good Experience on WorkFlows, Oracle Application Framework.
• Proficient working in Oracle 11g/10g/9i/8i databases using SQL & PL/SQL (Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages and Triggers)
• Document data flow diagrams, Process flow, Business Impact and technical designs for reference and maintenance
• Implemented member reservations for spaces at cove in the mobile website using parse JavaScript API.
• Implemented many emerging web technologies including JavaScript to allow for a data driven application using a web interface
• Partnered with the Software Development Manager in creation of an in-house unit-testing framework leveraging the QUnit JavaScript Library.
• In-depth Knowledge of Schema Objects (Tables, Global Temporary Tables, Views, Materialized views, Constraints, Indexes, Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Synonyms, Sequences Database links) and Bulk collects/Inserts, CURSORS/ REF CURSORS, Analytical functions, Dynamic SQL, Exception Handling, Type.
• Extract, Transform and Load legacy data into Data warehouse and develop analytical SQL queries to generate reports using data in Data warehouse and Data marts
• Expert in Performance Tuning using Oracle Hints, Explain plan, TKPROF, Partitioning.
• Experience in Migrating Code to different Environments from SQL Plus interface.
• Good experience in Data Warehousing this includes data analysis, data manipulation, and programming, testing, implementation and report generation
• Knowledge of Job scheduling tools(Autosys,D-series,CRON) to create, modify, troubleshoot jobs, schedule and automate daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly jobs
• Hands on experience in using UNIX and Shell commands, Shell scripts to create jobs, automate processes, moving processes to background and monitoring processes.
• Very good working knowledge in ERWIN, TOAD, PL/SQL Developer tools.
