Job Description
Mobile Platforms team is seeking a team member with a positive attitude and eagerness to help develop customer-facing Android applications. He or she will collaborate with user experience experts, graphics designers, and the backend development team to bring the Android applications to life. Our team delivers professional, elegant mobile products to our partners. We build interactive connected demos to show off new technologies at trade shows and to potential customers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
· Build and extend existing Android applications written in Java and Android SDK on a Scrum Team
· Satisfy product owner and customer requests
· Support field application engineers and SQA team
· Collaborate with UX experts to enhance existing UIs from wireframes and design specification
· Manipulate application layouts and work with images from a graphics design team
· Write clean source code, comments, and code documentation (annotated doxygen)
· Cleanly-abstract /decouple UI modules for reuse
· Develop unit tests and/or interactive UI tests to exercise user interface logic
Desired Skills and Experience
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
· 5+ years working in software industry
· 4+ years in Java, Android SDK, Android front-end user experience
· 1+ app published on Google Play Store
· Strong object orient design knowledge
· Experience using Continuous Integration servers such as Jenkins
· Ability to work well with remote team members and teams of varying backgrounds
· Previous experience iterating with UX experts to improve/enhance UIs
· Strong writing/grammar skills in English preferred
· Interest in audio technology, music, cinema a plus
