Title: Senior Redhat Linux Expert

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Duration: 3-6+ Months

 

Requirements for Hiring Senior Redhat Linux Expert

 

Need Local OR Nearby Consultant

 

We are looking for a senior level engineer who can build us a Red Hat infrastructure from scratch. We need the ability to build, harden, patch, deploy, and monitor a standardized linux build using an automated process with a tool such as Satellite. These systems should meet the following requirements:

a.       Hardened per CIS/NIST standards and able to pass their security scan.

b.      Patched with all relevant security patches on a monthly basis using an automated process.

                                                               i.      Additional patching of libraries on an as-needed basis

c.       Domain-joined including the ability to integrate with our Active Directory using either SAMBA or their existing Vintela client.

d.      Monitored for all critical services/processes either using SCOM or another tool.

                                                               i.      If another tool is chosen, then that tool will need to be built out including documentation for how to administer it.

This process needs to be able to deploy a RHEL 6.4 and RHEL 6.6 template, and should be capable of deploying RHEL 7 templates in the future. A patch repository should be built and maintained to ensure faster patching.

 

This is a high level overview of what's needed and that many specific details will need to be determined to build out such an infrastructure. However, we need an engineer who knows what questions to ask to continue making solid progress on this deliverable
