Position Title: Network Engineer

Job Description :
Network engineers are responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting computer communication networks within an organization or between organizations. Their goal is to ensure the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users, such as staff, clients, customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities
• Excellent commendation skills, well spoken, ability to deal with clients and managers at various levels, work with engineers & vendors.
• Must be outgoing, self-starter and be able to resolve complex issues with limited supervision or direction.
• CCNA required. Proficiency in Cisco routers and switches, Microsoft Office Applications and Visio Diagramming.
• Excellent oral, written, analytical skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical employees.
• Must be able to work as a team member in a technical project environment. Must be self-motivated and able to think "outside the box."
• Experience defining and creating process and procedure documentation preferred. Ability to act a mentor and train 1st and 2nd level associates.
• Thorough understanding of LAN/WAN technology and protocols including but not limited to BGP, EIGRP, HTTP, FTP, TCP, and Spanning Tree.
• Experience configuring and independent troubleshooting of Cisco Switches and Routers.
• Experience with troubleshooting WAN and LAN connectivity issues.
• Knowledge of BGP& EIGRP is necessary.
• Knowledge of load balancing concepts is required. Specific knowledge of Brocade and Cisco Load Balancing products is desirable.
• Working knowledge of CheckPoint & Juniper Firewalls is a plus.
Position Requirements
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Equivalent work experience can be substituted.
Job Related Experience:
• 5+ years' experience in a fast-paced distributed systems network support or engineering position.
Work Conditions
• Overtime may be required in meet project deadlines.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
• Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
• Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
