Title: SharePoint Developer
Location: Morristown, NJ
Duration: 6 Months
Seeking a SharePoint Developer to develop, deploy, and support custom built and third party application(s) for SharePoint 2010 Enterprise. Customize out of the box SharePoint site(s) to suit business needs. Participate in the architectural design, development, customization, and integration efforts of enterprise solutions involving Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms. Handle tickets escalated through helpdesk, monitor and improve server performance, carry out server farm maintenances, such as patching and upgrade.
Standard Tasks:
- Portal site customization, including setting up securities, designing site structure and content types
- Web part and user control development
- Evaluate third party tools that complement MOSS 2010
- Form development, including integration with back end databases
- Workflow development, using the MOSS object model, SharePoint Designer, and Workflows
- Participate in architectural planning
- Monitor MOSS 2010 farm performance
- Server performance tuning
- Search maintenance and tuning
- Participate on call rotation and ticket handling
- SharePoint server patching and upgrade
- Perform backup and recovery
Ideal Candidate has the following:
- Experience in SharePoint (WSS 2.0, STS 2003, WSS 3.0, MOSS 2007, SharePoint 2010 Foundation or Enterprise.
- Experience in .Net programming. Proficiency in ASP.Net, XML, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience in SharePoint development, including web parts, user controls, event handlers, and etc.
- Experience in developing web services.
- Experience in SharePoint designer for both workflow and customization.
- Be available to participate in 24x7 on call rotations.
- Experience handling concurrent or multiple tasks/projects efficiently.
- SharePoint migration experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Desired Skills and attributes:
- Microsoft certifications in .Net development
- Microsoft certifications in SharePoint
- Experience in MOSS 2010 search programming and customization
- SharePoint 2010 solution and sandbox development
- Microsoft Silverlight programming
- Knowledge of content management, document management, and enterprise social networking
