Position: PL/SQL Developer

Duration: Long term

Location , Boston MA

 

*           Strong development experience in PL/SQL using packages, procedures, functions

*           PL/SQL from scratch - no GUI interface

*           Writing homegrown scripts

*           Experienced in SQL Plus commands

*           Practical experience with Oracle database (9i, 10g, 11g)

*           Management of various database objects (tables, indexes, views, etc)

*           Familiarity with data dictionaires (all_tab_columns, v$ views, etc)

*           Proficient in the code tuning and optimization. Can develop Oracle code that runs at optimal performance utilizing hints, cost-based optimizer, and optimal table join method practices.

*           Familiarity with development tools such as TOAD, PL/SQL Developer, SQL Navigator.

*           SQL Loader

*           Thorough unit testing, system testing, analysis, and debugging skills

*           Aid in the creation of installation and deployment documentation

*           Self-starter, independent worker, multi-tasking, detail oriented, strong application development skills

*           EXCELLENT communication skills

 

Plusses:

Unix Kornshell scripting
