Location: Austin TX

Duration: 1 Year          

Rate: $7000/Month on C2C

 

Description:

A Senior Oracle Database Administrator with 8+ years of experience with Production and development environment support.  Must have experience in working closely with application developers to design optimal data definition, data control and data manipulation techniques and in troubleshooting database related application issues.

 

Required Experience:

•           Oracle database administration on a Unix Sun/Solaris environment.

•           Tuning SQL queries.

•           Oracle PL/SQL

•           Developing Unix Shell scripts and setting up cronjobs.

•           Providing on call support for production environments.

•           Toad, PL/Developer to identify and monitor user sessions and response time.

•           Production database health check.

•           ErWin to maintain logical database structure.

•           Root cause analysis of database issues - session and trace data analysis

•           Import and export of schema or objects.

•           Oracle RAC database

•           Transportable Tablespace (TTS)

•           Materialized view, Partitioned tables and global indexes.

•           Analyzing ADDM/AWR/ASH reports.

•           Sql*loader and external tables is required.

•           Implement database security

•           Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.

•           10g or higher Oracle DBA Certification is required.

•           Experience in upgrading Oracle 10g to 11g.

 

Preferred Experience:

•           Experience with database > 2TB

•           5+ years of experience in writing Unix Shell scripting and setting up cronjobs.
