Position Summary:
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to planned deadlines and within the budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define project's objectives and oversee development and quality throughout its life cycle. The ideal candidate should have proven records of personal and professional achievement and should be highly regarded as a current or future leader within their field.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop master plans of several plans and drives, optimizes and manages all plans while presenting alternate scenarios to reduce overall critical path.
· Assist in the development of complex projects' budgets, manages resource plan to budget, and reports budget variances "planned vs. actual".
· Promote and apply QA best practices, defines/collects/interprets.
· Able to use metrics and diagrams and clearly defines link between requirements and technology solution.
· Able to lead routine and ad-hoc status reviews with all stakeholders validating project status claims and clarifying roles and responsibilities.
· Able to develop detailed consolidated reports to continuously manage expectations.
· Develop resource plans that align unique project needs with team members' skillset/career interests and apply various techniques to build/maintain a unified team view/focus on project objectives.
· Establish track record of applying PM best practices, tools, techniques, and methods that have resulted in several projects being executed successfully to plan by balancing scope/time/budget targets supported by accurate progress reporting to all stakeholders.
· Develop RFPs, lead bidder conferences, review vendor performance against contract by knowing the various types of contract breaches and potential impacts to the project.
· Develop mitigation and contingency plans for common risks, leads risk identification seminars to develop project specific mitigations and contingencies during the change of management process.
· Able to refine scope statement, understand impact of scope statement changes and clearly articulates requirements to manage expectations, develop a basis for future project decisions and accurately develop a WBS to the proper level of detail.
Candidate Requirements:
· Experience in Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· 5-7 years of experience in a project management position including all aspects of process development and execution.
· Data warehouse experience is required.
· Managing cross-functional projects/project teams.
· Played a leadership role in establishing standards, polices strategy and best practice.
· Has had an influence on wide or high-impact decisions and initiatives and has a theoretical background and understanding of the subject matter.
· Able to manage projects from inception to successful implementation.
· Strong analytical, communication, technical teamwork and interpersonal skills.
· Able to foster working relationships with the team and client departments.
