Role: Business Analyst

Location: Woodland Hills, CA

Duration: 6+months

 Interview type: Telephonic/ skype

 Experience Required: 7+ years

Mandatory Skills Required:

• Identify, analyze, define, and document detailed requirements to support projects and associated business objectives
• Collaborate with user experience, business groups, outsourced development team, project management, and executive management teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective solutions
• Provide product expertise to client groups, acting as a resource in understanding how applications impact business and user functions
• Participate in QA testing; identify requirement gaps and resolutions
• Recognize process or programming inefficiencies, and recommends improvements
• Work with line of business to understand end-users' and external customers' requirements to be included in system design
• Document the new applications, or the changes made to existing applications
• Frequently communicate with internal customers, end-users and managers on project progress and issue resolution
• Able to proficiently engage in conversations and meetings with line of business representatives when needed
• Acts as liaison between IT and Business units at senior level;
• Possesses knowledge of the business units objectives, processes, and products;
• Supports users in building business case, including cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment, and project scope;
• Drives day-to-day prioritization of work on capabilities, working with business;
• Oversees business requirement gathering and analysis;
• Understands customers' objectives, processes, and products in order to make educated recommendations;
• Understands customers' business processes and products and how best they can be supported by the application systems;
• Defines project scope; Performs impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system;
• Supports development of effort/cost estimates; Validates suppliers estimates; Estimates Rough Order of Magnitude for new application functionality;
• Develops functional specifications;
• Prepares Preliminary Systems Design document;
• Supports development of application conceptual design, testing, and implementation activities;
• Provides expertise in the design and functionality of business applications;
• Reviews and validates application technical design provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements;
• Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting user/system environmental issues, and training as required
