Job Title: Oracle Web Center Portal Developer
Start Date: 8/26/2013
End Date: 7/13/2014
Location:. Northfield, IL
Qualifications:
This is developer role that works with other Enterprise Architects and Senior Developers in the organization to vet, review, and implement Web Center Portal solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish WebCenter Portal Design/Architecture for clients
- Review and analyze functional/nonfunctional requirements on projects
- Implement WebCenter Portal solutions for clients
- Assist with the review, analysis and resolution of WebCenter Portal issue on projects
- Functional as a technical lead/advisor on projects or across programs, as needed as senior solution architect
- Interface and coordinate with other teams whenever required
- Prepare/review project deliverables (e.g. to-be functional requirements, enterprise structure, business processes, business process design document, to-be functional design, baseline configurations (IMG), process maps, control matrices, testing scenarios, user acceptance tests, business process procedures) to ensure they meet project objectives.
- Complete technical delivery assignments – for smaller projects, where a full time architect is not needed throughout the entire lifecycle, this individual will handle the role of an architect as well as the technical lead and complete the implementation.
- Anticipate project risks and make corrective recommendations to project manager
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ Experience designing, developing and delivering applications using Oracle WebCenter Portal 11g
- Must have implemented systems security that calls for integration with secure Single Sign-on and Web access management solutions
- 5+ years of hands on experience with architecting/designing/development of Java/J2EE based portal applications
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience of working with and integration with UCM
- Must have strong working knowledge and experience with Web Center SPACES
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience with ADF application implementations or J2EE platform and Portlet/Interportlet communications
- Proven experience with core platform technologies Weblogic, Oracle SQL, Javaccript, CSS, HTML
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interact and collaborate with other IT teams including application development, testing, operations, security and compliance and project management office as well as business customers and external vendors
- Strong Object Oriented implementation skills using Java and J2EE (EJB, JDBS, JMS, JSP/Servlets)
- Ability to resolve critical project issues by working effectively with Oracle support and Client's technical team
- Ability to lead technical team and present best practices/point of view effectively
- Experience in developing / implementing test strategies (Module-, Integration- User-Acceptance and Stress-Test).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience creating dynamic portals and web sites
- Must have deployed and used out-of-the-box Social and Collaboration tools such as wikis, blogs, RSS, discussion forums, tags, links, social networking and activity streams
- Exposure to digital rights management and document imaging would be a plus
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience) required. An Advanced degree or technical certifications is a plus.
