Position: Systems Analyst II (SQL)

Location: NY Rochester

Duration: 6months

Job Description –

• Extensive ADHOC reporting and data analysis (e.g., gathers data from existing reporting tools or executes SQL queries)
• Assist in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact finding.  Requires basic understanding of business systems and industry standard requirements.
• Analyze business and user needs, document requirements and revise existing business process documents and flows (i.e. Cue Card, SOP's and DTPs) as necessary.
• Plan, prepare and execute various testing activities to ensure appropriate testing is conducted for the work effect.
• Assist in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
• Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between IT and business unit(s) from initial requirements to final implementation.
• Consider business implications for the application of technology to the current business environment.
• Participate in the completion of standard and ad-hoc reporting requests.
• Review ICD9 rules for intent / validation of the existing business requirement.
• Review and validate ICD10 mappings and groupings.
• Actively participate in ICD10 related JAR / JAD sessions.
• Support Business Rule Remediation.
• Support UAT testing activities.
• Support ICD10 Provider End to End Testing.

 

Job Requirements-

• Extensive experience and knowledge of business process design.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of systems design.
• Working experience and familiarity with the organization's policies, standards and procedures.
• Excellent MS SQL knowledge and experience.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives or activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written / verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with ICD Coding structures.
• Experience working with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
