Location: El Segundo, CA
Client: Wipro
System Architect
Network Architect / System Engineer with 10 years' experience – the last 2-3 years leading solution design, with specific knowledge of Multicast, Multicast routing, QoS and Secure tunnels.
Domain / Technical skills:
· Strong knowledge of IPTV, Digital Video Broadcast, MPEG transport and Conditional access systems
· Experience in designing video broadcast systems from a networking perspective
· Knowledge of various Conditional Access systems a definite plus
Business skills:
· Strong business system analysis skills
· Proven success in translating business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs
· Ability to serve as a subject matter expert during development, test and deployment activities
· Understand and clearly articulate the long-term technology and design goals
· Ability to understand a broad range of technologies available in the market to prepare grounded recommendations to support a future proof infrastructure
Other:
· Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Computer Science), Master's degree preferred
· 10+ years relevant experience as a Systems Engineer in a fast paced environment required
· Experience in Business Systems Analysis, Requirements Elaboration and high-level architectural designs
· Understanding of software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to the target audience to achieve desired results
· Demonstrated success in working effectively with Program Management, cross-functional teams
Responsibilities:
· Partner with business stakeholders to review and understand business requirements.
· Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural design
· Document and review technical specifications with cross-functional teams
· Facilitate and lead design review sessions and technical discussions
· Support the project through entire development lifecycle from initial kick-off to production deployment
· Participate in commercial-off-the-shelf product evaluation and selection
· Be a subject matter expert in the assigned functional domain
· Research emerging trends and technologies
· Proactively identify and suggest architectural improvements in as-is Systems
