Title: Web Developer
Location: Richfield, MN
Type: 9 to 12+ Months Contract
Responsibilities/Deliverables:
§ Responsible for working with current API's and developing new API end points.
§ Working with deployment pipelines
Required Skills:
§ Experience of at least five years in application software engineering and a BS/MS in computer science or equivalent professional experience
§ Passion for TDD (test first), Pair Programming and Refactoring
§ Fluent with web development and API development (eg. REST, HTTP, JSON, XML and Java/Groovy, Ruby is strongly preferred)
§ Automation and troubleshooting of processes and systems
§ Scripting in the shell and at least one of the following: Groovy, Ruby, Perl or Python
§ Appetite to dig into and solve challenging problems
§ REST
§ Java
§ JSON and Ruby
Preferred skills:
§ API gateway platforms (e.g. Apigee, Mashery)
§ Cloud Computing Platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, DigitalOcean)
Soft Skills:
§ You strive to constantly improve yourself and your team.
§ You are enthusiastic and excited about technology.
§ You are flexible, dependable and know how to have fun while getting a lot done.
§ You are open and honest and willing to share and accept feedback and ideas.
§ You are positive and optimistic. Setbacks and constraints motivate you to work harder.
§ You listen with your ears and are open to changing your mind (stubborn on vision, but flexible on details).
§ Internally or externally on API driven space
